Art of Bronze is honored to offer “War,” an impressive bronze statue standing over 5 1/2 feet tall, inspired by the renowned work of Carl Kauba. This striking sculpture portrays a noble Native American figure, rich with cultural detail and symbolism.
The statue features long, intricately braided hair draping over his chest, and he is dressed in traditional attire, including a loincloth, leggings, moccasins, and a finely detailed war shirt. A magnificent, full feathered headdress crowns his head and drapes down to the base, symbolizing strength and leadership.
In his hands he holds a rifle, a message of strength and defiance. The statue is securely mounted on a durable bronze base, ensuring stability and elegance.
“War” is a commanding and evocative piece, perfect for honoring heritage and tradition in any space.
Carl Kauba (1865- 1922) was an Austian born sculptor who specialized in depicting the adventure and essence of the American West. Born the son of an Austrian shoe cobbler in 1865, Kauba was inspired as a boy by the Wild West adventure stories he read and began collecting historical photographs and artifacts from that time. Most scholars believe Kauba never travelled to the United States and relied upon the accounts of others and artifacts to execute his bronzes. His bronzes were all produced in Austria.
