Art of Bronze is proud to offer “Signal of Peace” (12” H.) bronze statue after Cyrus Dallin.  The Native man on horseback is wearing a feathered headdress.  His left arm rests on the horse’s neck, while his right arm is raised above his head as he holds a spear.  The Native American has long braided hairs draping his chest.  He is wearing a loin cloth, moccasins and has a necklace.  In 1890, a 15 ft. tall bronze monument version was installed in Lincoln Park in Chicago, IL.

Cyrus Edwin Dallin (1861- 1944) was an American sculptor who specialized in depicting Native Americans.  He created more than 260 works including many monumental works of art placed throughout the country.  In 1940, he did the equestrian statue of Paul Rever placed in front of the Old North Church in Boston.  His four prominent sculptures of indigenous people are A Signal of Pece (1890), The Medicine Man (1899), The Protest of the Sioux (1904) and Appeal to the Great Spirit (1908.)

Each bronze sculpture is cast in the ‘lost wax’ method and hand finished to capture excellent texture and detail throughout the entire sculpture.  Custom fit marble bases are attached to each sculpture.  A bronze plaque with etched lettering featuring the title of the sculpture and Remington’s name is available to attach to the front or backside of the marble base.
