Art of Bronze is pleased to offer this elegant Art Deco bronze sculpture of “Diana, The mythological goddess of the hunt.”  Diana is poised and balanced on one foot, gracefully shooting her bow toward the heavens.  Notable features are her short tunic for agility and streamlined angles in her pose.  The use of both realistic details and fluid curving lines creates the feeling of movement.  This version features her secure to a multicolored base and finished in a traditional brown patina.

Diana (or Artemis, in Greek mythology) was revered as an inaccessible maiden, an avid huntress, and the patroness of wild animals, forests, and hills.

Art Deco reflected the glamorization of the industrial revolution.  Art Deco consists of sharp angles and geometric designs.  During its heyday, it represented luxury, exuberance, and “Hollywood-Style” glamor.
