His attentive dog lies below. Marvelous detailing can be seen throughout the entire sculpture. This classically styled bronze is unsigned and its true age is hard to estimate. It is mounted atop a beautifully scalloped marble base. The sculpture is from a private Brentwood, CA estate. The owner was a passionate collector of many different styles of bronze sculpture artwork.
