Art of Bronze was honored to work with Moreno Valley College in Riverside, CA to provide them with five spectacular life-size mountain lion bronze sculptures. The athletic icon for Moreno Valley College is the mountain lion because many students and staff have spotted mountain lions throughout the years. The first two mountain lion sculptures were added to the campus’s front stairway entrance in 2018. One mountain lion statue can be seen walking atop the large lefthand concrete pillar that resides next to student services building. The second mountain crouches on a branch encased in the righthand concrete pillar next to the science and technology building.
In 2022, Art of Bronze added three more mountain lion sculptures to the entrance of the newly built Welcome Center. The Welcome Center houses enrollment services and student services such as Admission & Records, Student Financial Services, Outreach and the Dream & Pride Centers. These three mountain lions greet all visitors at the ground level as the approach the opening doors. Two of the mountain lions reside atop rock boulders and one mountain lion is atop a bronze tree branch.
Moreno Valley College offers over 55 academic programs. The campus opened in 1992, and then became a fully accredited college in 2010, making it the 111th California Community College.
