Art of Bronze was honored to work with Mayville State University and provide them with this beautiful sculpture entitled “Wings of Joy” featuring a young girl sitting and playing with butterflies. Viewers will admire her wonderfully designed dress & charming facial features. She has five different butterflies attached to her dress, body and raised hand. The girl sits atop an old stone stepway salvaged from one of their historic buildings razed years before.
This sculpture is part of their Gardens of Remembrance. The spirit of these gardens is to honor those who have served in significant roles at Mayville State and who have been positive forces in the history of the institution. It is a place where future generations can learn about the history that has endeared Mayville Statue University.
